Building Block Sessions: Choose one of two...

New Definitions of Success…Non Linear Careers, Hobbies, and More
One of the things we all need to keep in mind is that many of the career decisions we make aren’t forever! Hear from women who have followed different routes including job shares, career switches, and more to chart a career and a version of success that works for them and for their family. Perhaps, as you wrestle with going back to work, you are considering that you need to be doing something you love…find out about options in not-for-profits, and learn how to make a career switch into a field or a job you might never have considered “a job” while you were doing it for fun.

Negotiation and Interviewing: What to Say to Work on Your Terms
Many times when women return to work they “leave something on the table”—that is, in return for a better schedule or flexibility they don’t ask for all they are worth. Learn how to handle questions about your past experience, how to get the best deal (one that is fair for all parties), and why you shouldn’t take or do less than you are worth.

11:45 am - 12:15 pm

Mini-Breakouts based on feedback and qustions from previous sessions...

Online Businesses: Not Just for the Geeks
Starting a business online can be a great idea – minimal start up costs if you plan it right – but what does it take to “get the word out”? How can you distinguish yourself from your competition? And how can you “monetize” your website? Hear from some “small but mighty” online entrepreneurs on their thoughts for success.

Social Networking (or using Facebook to get a job!)
All that time you spend on Facebook and the networks you’ve developed are a great first—and sometimes, the last—step you need to get a great new position.

12:15-1:00 pm
